Syringe Filters. Pall supplies a comprehensive family of syringe filters offering a full range of sizes, volumes, and flow rates. Sterile syringe filters are typically used in life science applications to sterilize solutions or for clarification. Non-sterile syringe filters are used across a range of filtration and sample preparation applications. They are widely used in analytical chemistry for sample preparation, protecting analytical equipment from particle contamination.
Feb 17, 2020 · Bubble point: Hydrophilic 2-3 bar; Hydrophobic 1-1.2 bar . 25 mm Syringe Filters. For sample volumes <100 mL range; Holdup (dead) volume is <125 ul. Female inlet luer lock; Maximum operation pressure <10 bar; Bubble point: Hydrophilic 2-3 bar; Hydrophobic 1-1.2 bar . 33 mm filters. For sample volumes <250 mL range; Holdup (dead) volume is <180 ul.
Fasten the filled syringe to the FLL inlet of the syringe filter with a twisting motion. With the outlet pointed upward, gradually apply pressure to the syringe plunger to initiate flow. Continue thumb pressure until all the air in the device is displaced with liquid. Once liquid starts to exit syringe fitter outlet, stop applying-pressure, point the device downward and away from user.
Bubble point is a function of pore size, filter medium wettability, surface tension and angle of contact. The filter membrane is wetted and a gradual increasing gas pressure is applied. The bubble starts forming from the largest pore first. The gas pressure at this time is the bubble point for the membrane.

Sterile filtration, clarification, and particle removal. Minisart ® NML Syringe Filters provide the optimal method for clarification and sterilization of liquids, robustly removing bacteria and particles, without any impact on product quality or loss of target molecule. Superior filter areas up to 6.2 cm 2. 0.1µm to 5µm pore sizes.
25 mm Syringe Filter, 0.2 µm Supor® FLL/MLS - 25 mm Syringe filter with 0.2 µm Supor® membrane, Minimum Water Bubble Point (Imperial) 46 psi. Specification.
Sep 10, 2018 · The cause of the air bubble might be high pressure applied to the filter. If the pressure applied to the syringe is above the bubble point of the membrane and there is air in the syringe, air bubbles will be forced through the membrane in bulk flow compared to the normally low rate of diffusion. It might also occur at low pressure when using
Average flow rate for water (@ 1.0 bar) > 250 ml/min. > 450 ml/min. Sterile filtration capability (Bacterial Challenge Test with 107 Brevundimonas diminuta for 0.2 µm) Not tested. Not tested. Key properties. Used as a pre-filter, broad compatibiltiy with organic solvents and strong acids. Hydrophilic.
Syringe filters are a cost-effective way to improve the quality of HPLC analysis, improve consistency, extend column life and reduce maintenance. By removing particulates before the sample enters the column, Navigator syringe filters allow unimpeded flow. Without particulates to create obstructio

A Bubble Point of a membrane filter is the pressure at which air will pass through the filter when it is wetted. This pressure is related to the pore size of the membrane and so this pressure measurement can be used to determine both the pore size of the membrane and the integrity of the filter. Determining the Bubble Point of a Membrane Filter
The bubble point test uses the inverse relationship between bubble point and pore size to determine the maximum pore size of a membrane. 0.45 μm membranes typically have a bubble point between 10 – 25 psi, whereas a 0.2 μm membranes have a bubble point between 40 – 50 psi.
Jan 05, 2019 · I'm searching for information, videos, etc. that pertain specifically to "Bubble Point Testing" of syringe filters -> how to, standards, techniques, methodologies, etc. Thanks, Dan
